How to Play

Joining a league

To join a league a user must first register with Fantasy Fairway.com by clicking the Play Now! link on the FantasyFairway.com home page. Fill out all the appropriate information and click register. Please take note of the check boxes on the register page, if you want to receive an email notification each week to confirm your selection, check the first box. A user must acknowledge that he/she has read the Terms of Use and Privacy Statement to complete the registration.

Once you have completed registration and have gained entry into the FantasyFairway.com website, click on the League Signup tab. On this page, a user has the opportunity to join a Public League where a user will be assigned to a public league with up to 25 members, by selecting the Join Public League option on the drop down menu. Payment will be processed within 24 hours and the user will receive email notification once your account has been credited.

If you would prefer to start your own private league, a user can select the size of his/her private league in 25 team increments. Once you have determined the size of your league, select the appropriate private league option on the drop down menu. Payment will be processed within 24 hours and the user (league owner) will receive email notification once your account has been credited with a league ID and password so that you can invite other users to join the private league.

To join an already existing private league a user must go through the registration process if the user is not already a FantasyFairway.com registered user. Once a registered user, the user can click on the League Signup tab and go to the Join private league section of the page. Enter in the League ID and passcode for the league you would like to join as well as a team name for this league and click the Join League button. The League ID and password should have been given to you by your league owner (the user responsible for setting up the league). If you do not have the league ID and password, please contact the league owner.

If you are a league owner and need to increase the size of a previously established league, email commish@fantasyfairway.com with your league ID and the size you would like the league increased to. FantasyFairway.com management will send instructions on how to increase the size of the league.

A user can have a team in up to 10 leagues; however no user can have more than 1 team in the same league.

Selecting Players

For each PGA tournament, each owner will select 1 PGA golfer from the tournament field as a team's player for the week. The player may be any player that is currently listed in the field, regardless if any other team in an owner's league has selected the same player, i.e. your pick may not be unique in any given week. Each owner may use a PGA golfer for only one tournament throughout the PGA season. For example, if an owner chooses Player X for the Sony Open, Player X is no longer eligible to be chosen for the remainder of the season. Selections must be submitted no later than 15 minutes prior to the first scheduled tee time of a tournament. After 15 minutes prior to the first tee time has passed, all picks will be locked for the week and no additional picks or changes will be accepted. In the event that there is more than 1 PGA tournament in a given week, the owner should submit a unique PGA golfer from the field for each tournament.

Scoring

Point Values

Each week your team's selected golfer will earn points towards your team's cumulative yearly total based on the amount of earnings your PGA golfer earns for the tournament. If your PGA golfer misses the cut, withdraws, is disqualified, or is not eligible to earn money for any other reason, you will earn 0 points for the week. Any other finish resulting in money earned for the PGA golfer will earn you points towards your cumulative total. For example, if Player X finishes in 3rd place for the Sony Open in Hawaii and earns $150,000.67, and you selected Player X for that tournament, you will earn 150,000.67 points towards your total. If you selected Player Y for the Sony Open and Player Y missed the cut and earned $0 for that tournament, your team will earn 0 points.

Wins & Losses

Your team is competing against all teams in your own league as well as all leagues for grand prizes each week, so there is no win/loss record, you are simply trying to attain the most cumulative points by the end of the fantasy season as possible. The team in each league with the most cumulative points at the end of the season will be declared the league winner. The top 10 teams with the highest cumulative points across all leagues (public and private) will be declared the top 10 overall winners.

Posting Results

Your league's web site will be updated to reflect official PGA results as they become official, typically a few hours after the conclusion of the event, but may not be available until the following day. Any results corrections may be made after the tournament has concluded in the event that any results information has been updated or an error in scoring has been discovered.

Schedule

The FantasyFairway.com fantasy golf season officially begins with the Sony Open in Hawaii and concludes with the Wyndham Championship. There are 35 PGA tournaments in total over the 32 week fantasy season.

Lineup Changes

Weekly Lineups

Each week, team owners will have the opportunity to select their PGA player for the coming tournament by selecting their golfer from the submit pick page on the owner's league page. Only PGA players that are in the tournament field will be found in the dropdown and are the only PGA golfers that are eligible to be selected. Additionally, any PGA golfer that an owner has previously selected is not eligible to be picked for a tournament. For weeks that there are multiple tournaments for the same week, owners should select 1 PGA golfer for each tournament. In the event that there are multiple tournaments for a single week, the submit picks page will have 2 drop down lists, 1 for each tournament for the week. Once an owner has made a pick for the week, you may change your pick at anytime, provided that it is before the weekly deadline (explained in the "Deadline to Change Status" section below). An auto-generated email will be sent to the user's email account confirming the selection made, provided the user has selected that option upon sign-up or under account settings. If a user is in multiple leagues, the user should visit the submit pick page for each of the user's leagues to submit a pick for each team.

An auto generated email pick reminder will be sent 18 hours prior to the first scheduled tee time to reminder players to submit their pick if no pick has been submitted at that time.

If an owner doesn't select a PGA golfer before the weekly deadline (explained in the "Deadline to Change Status" section below), the team will not be awarded a default pick and will receive 0 points for the week. No additional penalties are assessed for not selecting a PGA golfer for any tournament.

Deadline to Change Status

The deadline for submitting a pick for any tournament is 15 minutes before the first scheduled tee time of the tournament. The tournament periods for the week typically run from Thursday morning to Sunday afternoons, however weather and other scheduling conflicts may alter the typical tournament times. Note that some tournaments will begin on Wednesday.
